SKRATE TRIPPIN

I’ve been in a weird mood these last few days. And it has really shown in the comment boxes of some of my favorite bloggers. It’s forced me to think about how much I sway away from discussing certain topics. But it’s also really made me smile to see that I am not the only one that is adamant about how I feel about others.

The Kindness of Strangers

What’s really hood yall?

Here’s a wrap-up of where I bees. I’m working hard and don’t really have time to be posting.

On Friday, I rented a Chevy Trailblazer from Enterprise Rent-A-Car and headed to New York City.

On Saturday, I dropped in to my mother’s church and afterwards, we went home. On Saturday evening, I stopped by my cousin’s job to get graduation cards for my sister and some friends that we both still had in Albany, NY. I had a few drinks (I didn’t drive) and then I headed home. I passed out and woke up to my mom calling me the next morning.

On Sunday, having passed out the night before, I overslept and didn’t wake up until 5:30am when I had previously planned on leaving by 6:00am. I quickly showered and got dressed and my mother and I left for Albany at 7:04am (I’m a big stickler for time). Since I was running late (in my mind), I decided to put the pedal to the metal and 20 minutes away from my destination, caught a ticket. LOL.

It poured down on the graduates (friends, and families) and stopped about 15 minutes after the outdoor ceremony ended. LOL. In my all white, I walked to my sister’s dorm wet (rather, damp).

We packed her up (we meaning my sister, a friend, and I) and like most women do, she’d downplayed the magnitude of items that she had and we didn’t have space for everything. So Antoinette took the rest home.

We drove back to NYC and went through the process of unpacking the vehicle and heaving everything up four flights of stairs (living in the hood ain’t no joke. I’d really die if I had to do that thing daily).

On Monday, my sister and I headed back to Silver Spring, MD. We first dropped off our things at the DC spot since it’s only blocks away from the Enterprise. Turns out Enterprise was willing to give me a ride to my spot in Silver Spring. So I got my car, took care of some business, and we got into my car and headed back to DC. In the process, I remembered that I left a CD in the car. So, we stopped at Enterprise and they returned it to me.

On Tuesday, as I prepared for work, I looked in the bag that I had put to the side with ALL my electronic stuff (i.e. chargers, palm pilot, e-z pass, digital camera, cds, and ipod) and noticed that my Ipod was missing. So I woke my sister up and asked her if she’d seen it. She told me that she hadn’t.
